Lilly, Partner Seek New Treatment Approval

(NYSE: LLY) and Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH have submitted an application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a potential type 2 diabetes treatment. The drug candidate is entering a Phase III trial, with plans to enroll more than 14,500 patients.
